A variation of original recipe of the traditional Gran Galup with chocolate chips and am arena cherries. Garnished with IGP Piedmont Hazelnut frosting, enriched with whole toasted almonds and pearl sugar. Ingredients: Gluten free mix (corn starch, sugar, emulsifier: E471, soluble fibers (Psyllium), thickening agent: guar gum, salt, preservative: sorbic acid), water, black cherries 12% (Black cherries - Glucose-fructose syrup - Sucrose - Black cherry juice - Acidifier: citric acid - Vegetable concentrate - Natural flavouring), butter (lactose-free)*, chocolate drops 8% (sugar, cocoa paste, cocoa butter, emulsifier: soy lecithin), powdered sugar (sugar, corn starch), delactosed skimmed milk powder (lactose-free)*, category A pasteurized whole fresh eggs, natural yeast, brewer’s yeast, category A pasteurized fresh egg yolk, wholemeal buckwheat flour, brown rice flour, wholemeal cornmeal, thickening agent: xanthan gum, natural flavorings. FROSTING INGREDIENTS 15%: powdered sugar (sugar, corn starch), almonds 19%, hazelnuts 19%, rice powder, dried egg whites. Garnished with pearl sugar 4%. May contain walnuts, pistachio nuts. *Butter and skimmed milk powder present in quantities such as to guarantee a residual lactose content of less than 0.01% in the finished product. The product contains glucose and galactose as a result of the breakdown of lactose.

Galup

In 1922, Galup was created by Pietro and Regina Ferrua as a small pastry shop in Pinerolo, a town nestled in the northwestern region of Piemonte. Galup in Piedmontese dialect means greedy and delicious. Day by day, their pastries became the most beloved in town, thanks to their secret: use only the highest quality ingredients, from a well-maintained mother yeast to IGP hazelnuts from Piemonte to fresh cage-free eggs. Today, the family-run company continues to create their traditional beloved treats following the same recipes.
